Soak up the Christmas atmosphere, enjoy a cup of warm punch and Christmas gingerbreads and listen to inspiring personal stories of three foreigners living in Slovakia. Learn about their first struggles in our country, about their entrepreneurial success and get some practical tips for starting your own business. Meet guests from Poland and Hungary, who will share experience about developing startups in their countries.

Hon Chong from Malaysia is a freelancer in the area of education but also runs a non-profit organization with a focus on performing arts and theater. Abbie Puskailer from England is an artist, illustrator and a teacher organizing art classes and art camps for children. He Nguyen from Vietnam is a restaurant owner with two known Vietnamese restaurants in Bratislava.

In the first part of the event, organizations supporting startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses will talk about their activities. The second part of the event will have a form of a panel discussion.

The event will be accompanied by an exhibition of paintings by foreign artists Abbie Puskailer – Artist & Illustrator & Artist Ekaterina Grishakova, and a photography project capturing foreigners living in Bratislava.

The meeting is organized in the frames of the project: „Migrant entrepreneurs in V4 countries: regional dimesions of startup cooperation”. The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The project is co-funded from the European Social Fund and prepared in cooperation with Welcome to Bratislava.
